Portage Township Board and Supervisor Beciaand later Bingham works with Moyle to move quarry operations from Dodgeville pit to Sections 10 and 15 on the south side of Green Acres Rd. Phase 1 complete with Isle Royal Estates.
October 12 – A final draft of the Portage Township and Valley View Quarry Points of Consensus is agreed upon at Board Meeting. Portage Township Board recommends to the Portage Township Planning Commission that the Planning Commission make an exception for Valley View Quarry’s operations in a Rural Residential zoning.
April 6 – Portage Township Planning Commission again confirms that the Portage Township Board will need to issue a special use permit for quarry operations. Houghton County Planning Commission states it has ‘No Stand’ with Valley View Quarry.
April 11 – Portage Township Board of Trustees tells Moyle that they will not consider going back to where the process of zoning amendments was with allowing an up or down board vote.
